Onion Export

Onions are a vegetable with a strong smell and taste that are often used in cooking:
Appearance
Onions are biennial plants that are usually grown as annuals. They have fleshy, hollow, cylindrical leaves that grow in a flattened, fan-shaped swathe. The leaves are yellowish- to bluish green and taper to blunt tips. The base of each leaf is a flattened, usually white sheath that grows out of the basal plate of a bulb.
Flavor
Onions are characterized by their distinct flavor and pungency, which are due to various sulfur compounds. The release of this oil during peeling or chopping brings tears to the eyes.
Uses
Onions are consumed in various forms and used in various cuisines. They are also used in high school science laboratories for learning about microscope use and cell structure.
Growing conditions
Onions are very hardy and can survive in a wide range of growing conditions. Most commercially cultivated onions are grown from small black seeds, which are sown directly in the field.
History
Onions are probably native to southwestern Asia and have been consumed widely for thousands of years.

Onion packaging material typically refers to a mesh-like net made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) monofilament fibers, designed to allow for proper air circulation while securely containing onions during storage and transportation; this type of packaging is commonly known as a "leno bag" or "onion mesh bag" and is characterized by its durability, breathability, and ability to accommodate different onion sizes.

Material:
Primarily made from HDPE (high-density polyethylene) plastic, which provides strength and resistance to tearing.
Mesh structure:
The net is woven with a specific pattern of open spaces, allowing for ventilation and preventing moisture build-up.
Size and capacity:
Available in various sizes to accommodate different quantities of onions, depending on market needs.
Other potential onion packaging materials (less common):

Paper bags: Can be used for smaller quantities of onions, sometimes with mesh windows for visibility.

Bulk bags (FIBC): Large, woven polypropylene bags for bulk onion storage and transport.

Plastic film: Can be used to wrap individual onions, but not as common as mesh bags.
